It's because I'm a feminist that I can't stand women limiting other women's imaginations. It really makes me angry.

I'm happy to say I'm a feminist. Being a feminist is just believing in equal rights. Man, woman, gay, straight, black, white - we're all in it together.

Pro-life feminists believe in women and their ability. Pro-choice feminists only see women as weak and something to be exploited.

I understand this fear of the word 'feminism,' and I understand the fear of saying it because it becomes as divisive as 'sexism' has become. But I know a lot of male feminists.

When you see in this country and every other part of the world the huge pay disparity - in Hollywood, in every profession in the U.K., globally - and you see what is happening to women in every country socially and culturally, you can't not be a feminist.

In 1995, I was thrust into the role of reluctant, flag-waving feminist and emotionally-focused artist/advocate.

The definition of being a feminist is equality, and if you're not a feminist at this point, then what are you really promoting?
