Great Goblin: You thought you could escape *Me*?
[He swings his mace, knocking Gandalf backwards; the dwarves stop Gandalf from toppling]
Great Goblin: [mockingly] What are you going to do now, wizard?
[Gandalf pokes the Great Goblin in the eye with his stick, then cuts straight through his large belly with his sword]
Great
Goblin: [his last words before Gandalf cuts his throat] ... That'll do it...

Radagast: [shows Gandalf a Morgul-blade] That thing is not from the world of the living...

Great Goblin: [as Gandalf attacks] He wields the Foe-Hammer! The Beater! Bright as daylight!

[Thrain and Gandalf come face to face with Sauron]
Thrain: Tell Thorin that I love him! Will you do that? Will you tell my grandson that I loved him?
Gandalf: You will tell him yourself!
Thrain: It is too late...
[Sauron consumes Thrain]
Gandalf: NO!

Dain: Good morning. How are we all? I have a wee proposition, if you don't mind giving me a few moments of your time. Would you consider... JUST SODDING OFF! All ye, right now!
Bard: Stand fast!
Gandalf: Come now, Lord Dain.
Dain: Gandalf the Grey. Tell this rabble to leave or I'll water the ground with their
blood.
Gandalf: There is no need for war between Dwarves, Men, and Elves. A legion of Orcs march on the mountain. Stand your army down.
Dain: I will not stand down before any elf! Not least this faithless Woodland sprite! He wishes nothing but ill upon my people! If he chooses to stand between me and my kin, I'll split his pretty head open! See if
he's still smirking then!
Thranduil: He's clearly mad like his cousin.
Dain: Ya hear that, lads? We're on! Let's give these bastards a good hammering!

Ned Gold: I can't act normal.
Principal Jane Masterson: Clearly.
Ned Gold: I'm just trying to impress you. I don't come to places like this. I'm a dork. I'm the kind of person who spends $10,000 on Gandalf the Grey's quarterstaff from the Two Towers.
Principal Jane Masterson: Yes that does make you a dork.
Especially since Gandalf the Grey only appears in Fellowship. He returns in Two Towers as Gandalf the White.
